I have NO idea where this recipe came from. If Mary Lou Retton reads this and says she has never heard of it and hates cabbage, well, I’m sorry. Maybe she will forgive me because I was her one of her biggest fans growing up. 🙂
The salad is so delicious. YUMMY!
Mary Lou’s Retton’s Coleslaw
1 (3 oz) chicken flavor ramen noodles
6 cups shredded cabbage
4 green onions (chopped)
1/2 cup toasted sunflower kernels
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup veggie oil
2 Tbsp vinegar
2 Tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp celery seed
Crush noodles. Combine noodles, cabbage, onions, sunflower kernels, and almonds in large bowl. Set aside. Combine contents of soup seasonings and remaining ingredients. Whisk until blended. Pour over cabbage mixture and toss gently to coat. Cover and chill.
