When all five children are in their respected rooms “resting” – I could break out in dance and sometimes do.
The older ones are required to stay in their rooms and either read or play quietly (if they get loud, they have to clean their room or take a nap themselves). They younger ones usually take a nap. This is Mommy’s sane hour. I love it! I either take a siesta, watch Magnum P.I., read or cruise the net. Sometimes, I water my garden or do laundry. I probably should be exercising but I am enjoying my time, nevertheless.
It is a privilege to be able to stay at home and teach these guys. I want them to remember their mommy as energetic and full of life. If I don’t have this time, I feel run down and my brain does not compute.
So, I am off for my siesta, after my own little fiesta!

I need to institute this, too! I often take a nap for 30 minutes and let my daughter watch a show. But, I’d rather have an hour and know she is doing something more productive!

I can totally understand this! Enjoy your time. Hugs, Bobbi Jo
