A fave gift – A Ceiling Fan

A Fave Gift – A Ceiling Fan

When my hubby and I got married years ago – we had very little, as finances go.

Ceiling Fan with meaning

[wpsr_pinterest]
He was a Youth Pastor and I had been a church secretary and treasurer.

Our courtship had been quick and the engagement seemed quicker.

All within a week of getting married – we had closed on our first home, started new jobs, and had our very first over night company in our new but tiny home.
We were young and loved to live life to the fullest!

Our home was to be our hub of our life.  I was not into decor back then.

Everything just had a purpose and it seemed all thrown together.  But, I did want every item in my home to have a meaning – as I still do.
One of my wedding presents, which came from a very dear person to me, was a ceiling fan.

This is what she wrote to us, that accompanied the fan.

Your Fan

  • Air going up = Praises to the Lord
  • Circulation down = His praises coming back down in the form of answered prayers
  • Air Going Down = God blessing you, refreshing you just like sitting under the fan to cool off.
  • 4 Lights = minister to the 4 corners of the earth – you will bring God’s light to the 4 corners of the earth.
  • 5 Blades = 5 speaks the G R A C E of God
When we sold that house, I wanted to take that ceiling fan with us.
But, my hubby wouldn’t let me saying the new owners wouldn’t appreciate us leaving a hole in the ceiling.
So, the next house we bought, we bought the exact same ceiling fan so it would be in our lives again.
(Not to mention, it truly is a pretty fan.)
Isn’t that a great gift?
Of course, every time I see a ceiling fan – I think of God’s Grace and His Mercy plus His refreshing wind and power!
Blessings to you!!!  You are loved!!!

How precious is that story and how true. From now on, I will feel the blessing when under a fan. Thanks Lana!

Literally, I would NEVER have thought of a ceiling fan in that way…but now I will never look at one the same way again. I’m sitting under one just whirring away right now. And I may just start giving ceiling fans for wedding gifts…whether a person needs them or not!
