Asking for prayer!

February 26, 2012 Lana

Do you ever those kind of friends that you could call in the middle of night and know they were going to be there through thick and thin?

We are honored to be friends with such a family.  We met 10 years ago.

The wife and I instantly became friends.  She had a lot of children and so did I.  We met in MOPs.  (Mothers of Preschoolers.)

We worked on MOPs’ Steering together and our families just got along well together.

One hurricane – it got extremely windy and dark.  Transformers on the power lines were exploding rapidly all around us.  It was quite loud.  Trees in our neighborhood were being uprooted.  The hubby who works for the United States government (and carries a gun) came up to our house to check on us.  He is NO small man.  It was a memory that makes me laugh even now.  He carried a flashlight and shined it so we couldn’t see who he was.  That was more scarier than the hurricane winds. LOL!

This family is going through an extremely hard time.

The Dad has cancer.  (I detest even writing that word! Such a stupid illness.)

We talked to him this morning.  He is in MDA hospital in Houston at the moment with a few complications.  They are quite serious.

I’m asking for prayer for him and his family.  God knows his situation.  God has a plan that we cannot even fathom.  He has a plan that provides a Hope and Life.

Thank you so much for praying!

If you want to send this family any notes or anything please email me.
I’d be happy to send them along!

Blessings to you!  You are loved!
