How do you put yourself first? How does taking time for yourself help make you happier?

How do you put yourself first? How does taking time for yourself help make you happier?

I try not to put myself first!
A long time ago, someone shared JOY with me, a song for little ones.
J is for
Jesus
O is for
Others
Y is for
Yourself.
I find when I put others above myself…I’m happier.
That is not to say, I don’t get alone and be still.  I cherish those moments.  But, with 5 kids, 2 dogs, 1 DIY husband, 6 chickens, homeschooling, and laundry…it just doesn’t happen often.
Want to know a secret?
When I do start thinking about myself…all the time, I find more things to be unhappier about.  I want to cherish the times I do have and not waste more time wanting “me” time.
So enjoy JOY!

Lana, I appreciate your Christian perspective – I logged on the the main site and posted a response that matches yours quite well – but I included my fave bubble bath time 😉 hubs is fabulous like that! (thank you Jesus)

This is so refreshing to hear! I get very tired of hearing that we moms need to put ourselves first. Every time I read the Bible it keeps saying put others first. Glad to see that a fellow christian has read the same Bible as me. Thank you!

May the LORD bless you and keep you; May the LORD make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; May He turn His face toward you and give you peace. Feel free to leave a comment - we LOVE to hear your thoughts! ~Blessings to you!~ ~You are so loved!~ ~Lana (Like Banana)~
