Holding on to a memory…like a rock.

Holding on to a memory

Do you ever want to hold a memory?  I guess that is why we love photos so much.
This is one of those memories.
Mom and Girls on the Rocks
I was actually sick. Except I didn’t know it. I had a minor cough and just a light headache. My husband’s aunt had made me some coriander tea and it helped a little.
The next morning, I felt a little better. And off we went to explore New Mexico.
Family on the Rocks
Beautiful. Just beautiful. The mountains, the trees, the desert, the rocks. All of it was beautiful.
We went to a place called the City of Rocks. And we had so much fun climbing and climbing some more.
Strong child holding up rock
After a while, I just had to sit down. I really thought it was just the high altitude and all the fun.
Strong boy
The next day, I went to the doctor and had found out I had strep throat. My throat never did hurt – I had never heard of such a thing.

City of Rocks @loving5kids

I look back and think I could have been in a lot of pain but God’s creation just kept me from dwelling on the flesh.
City of Rocks
Isn’t that just like how we should deal with every situation? Dwell on Him and all the rest just seems to fall into place.

I’m so thankful for that day in New Mexico.

Blessings to you!  You are loved!

I didn’t know you could have strep throat without pain. Glad you didn’t hurt, I guess, but that stuff can kill you! Yikes!

Oh Lana I am sorry you’ve been so sick! I hope it’s getting better and you will be back to taking pictures again soon.

I am still working on convincing you to come here for the little conference next month. We need your energy and enthusiasm. Lisa~

That looks like a cool place and to have strep throat and not know it well then that HAD to be all God because I know from experience that it hurts like the dickens!
