German Style Haus in Texas
[wpsr_pinterest]
This is a tour of my cousin’s house in the Hill Country of Texas.
He designed and built it like other German style homes in the area. It is one of my favorite homes to visit.
Let me give you a tour:
When you first walk up…you see beautiful plants, everywhere. I love when you can take a deep breathe and you just feel pure with all the life around.
The front porch. I could sit out here all day.
My cousin loves hummingbirds. I just love these feeders. I get them inexpensive at my grocery store.
Our dogs loved the stone floor. It was super cool in the brutal Texas heat.
Seriously, the plants added so many eye catching elements to this beautiful home. My family is known for their green thumbs. It just makes me happy to see so many beautiful plants.
Such a neat plant stand. I so want one of these!
My kids loved the hammock! I remember visiting other family that had a hammock when I was child. I felt like I was in Heaven.
Just another view of the beautiful porch.
I love lantana. It loves heat and blooms like crazy in Texas.
I love how the Bougainvillea just sits on a stump.
Come on in!
The beautiful entry way…a place for hats, shoes, and cookbooks.
A little kitchen talk. I love how my hubby and cousin can and do talk about everything under the sun.
This is one of my favorite things about the house…the stone chimney. (We don’t have one. I love places that get cold. I can just hear the crackling as timbers burn.
The back porch…
Can you say gorgeous? I’d never go inside.
Look at their views!
The guest haus.
The Vegetable Gardens
Beautiful Squash gone crazy.
I forgot to take pictures of the side house. So I took one in town to get a feel of it.
This is the stairway that leads to the loft. I’m not sure why they have stairs are on the outside of the home but I do like it.
I love when we get to visit family, especially when it is unexpected.
Blessings to you! You are loved!
