Fun Mini-Vacation

July 9, 2013 Lana

We’ve been traveling.  This is the first time since November we have been on a road trip.

We went to see my family for the 4th of July.

Talk about a blast!

I learned how to play horseshoes.  All my life, I’ve lived in Texas and never played it before.  My brother in law and I were on a team.  We stomped my sister and my husband.

Playing Horseshoes

Okay, maybe not stomped…is the right word. More like obliterated.

Partner in horseshoes

I kept running my leg into the post.  I now have battle scars from the game.  Lol!

Sweet Sister ilovemy5kids

This is my sister. I LUV her.  She is shorter than me.  Nuff said. We had so much fun this weekend.  I really believe God brought us together. We don’t share the same parents in blood but we do.  Hope that makes sense.  In Christ alone.  Better?

4th of July 2013

I can’t believe how cool the weather got on the 4th, for Texas anyway.  I actually got chills.  Well, sort of chills.  More like a fall breeze feeling.  It was wonderful!

Adorable 4th of July Princess

This is my adorable niece, I have lots.  But, this one has dimples that will knock your socks off.

Little brother ilovemy5kids

This is her Daddy and my little brother.  He is a lot taller than me.  He is so special to me.

ilovemy5kids and niece

Seriously, I truly love this child.  Just wish she lived closer.

Sister in law and ilovemy5kids

This is my sister-in-law, she is so crazy.  She has one of the most giving hearts that I know.  She doesn’t know that I even have a blog, so hopefully this will be our secret, I kind of like her.  Shh…I don’t want her to get the big head.

Silly brother

This is my adorable silly brother.  We share the same Mom and Dad.  He is super fun and makes me laugh.

Girls 4th of July

These are the ladies, young and not so young  in our family.  We had a family portrait done but I’m not sure if the photographer would let me post it.  I’ll send her a message and if so I’ll post soon.  It is so precious. My birthday boy, who turned 7 on the 4th of July took this from my phone.

Playing Gaga

And of course, we played Gaga with the cousins.

Sweet

This is my favorite married niece.  It was such a joy to spend time with her.  She has a heart the size of Texas.

I had tons of photos.  All of them hold a special place in my heart.  I can’t remember a sweeter family time.

More tomorrow…I’m just to tired to think.

Blessings to you!  You are loved!
