Today is Monday morning. We just got back from another #RoadTrip5Kids.
That means we sleep late and bless the house.

I am trying to make lists, for everyone.
I keep coming back to – it is time to have a garage sale. But, I wonder if they will do good in December? I need to take back my house and get rid of the clutter that causes me stress. Clutter just breeds discontentment for me.
I’ve been reading a book by Crystal Paine, (Aff. Link) Say Goodbye to Survival Mode: 9 Simple Strategies to Stress Less, Sleep More, and Restore Your Passion for Life(Aff. Link!)
It just makes sense, focus what is important to you. Get rid of anything that does not.
Sounds doable.
But, then I look at my dresser, my girls’ closet, my guest room – oh my, it is going to be a long road. I mean seriously, my girls are growing up and not needing as many toys as they used to or want. AND where did all these flip flops come from?
So, I am making a list. Actually a few of them.
Already I am seeing progress.
My kids are old enough to finally help me in areas that have been put off for so long. I so appreciate them and their desire to clear clutter as well.
It kind of makes me emotional. They are growing way too fast and not stopping.
I remember the days that I would think – Is this cycle of dirty laundry, washing dishes, making dinner, and no sleep would ever end? It has ended.
They now help with laundry, help with dinner, wash dishes and sleep.
Oh, I enjoy my children so very much.
I also want to enjoy my days like they are my last.
So out with the clutter!
Time to:
- Make menus.
- Revamp the chore lists.
- Clean the garage.
- Find the lesson plans.
- Tackle the closets.
- Sell, sell, and sell.
- Schedule myself in doable increments, like using the 24 hours the Lord has given me in a day.
- Sleep – I love that the Lord gives His beloved sleep.
- Find the FlyLady notebook in my library.
- Enjoy my children.
Yay! More details coming soon!

I am so glad you were encouraged! I’m doing about 15 minutes per room, per day. Even that is daunting. I might have to slow down. Lol!

As I read this post I felt as if I had written it. Oh how I hate clutter, it clouds my mind, makes me irritable . I look at it and it seems so overwhelming so I leave it hoping I will get to it soon. I think I will make some lists…”write the vision, make it plain….”. Thank you for sharing
