What a morning! Or week!
Moving with 5 kids is not for wimps. We are staying sane by keeping our eyes on the Master!
It is Tuesday and we will be homeless on Friday. (For a couple of days, maybe 5 depending if our Title company gets all the necessary paperwork.)
Peace and Calming Essential Oil by Young Living is being whiffed constantly. I used to despise this particular oil because it smells like licorice to me but now I’m craving the stuff. I’m thinking every realtor needs this oil when making deals. Sorry, I don’t sell it but my friend, Lisa Pennington at The Pennington Point does and can answer your questions. She has no idea I just gave her a shout out!
Every time my phone rings, it is either a Ching-Ching call or something else crazy.
The house we are buying is needing some major love. Love always costs. Thankfully, we know a God who is making a way. For a while, it might be a little crazy…but He is working out all these details. When I ponder how much He loves us and how He has planned this move…well, all worry flies out the window.
We have never lived in an area where we have had an HOA before…well, this is one way to meet and greet our new neighbors. Hopefully, they won’t throw us out with all the forms we are sending in for things to change on the house.
I’m also realizing how much a hoarder I have been for the last, oh 16 years. But, my husband has figured me out – if he keeps me up to 2:00 am – I will probably throw away anything. Nothing seems quite important after 1:00 am. I can’t believe we have almost packed an entire truck.
Hopefully, we are done by Wednesday, we will get to have a little surprise for the kids and me.
Also on Friday – I will be sharing our before and afters of the home remodel that we have worked on for the last 10 plus years. I can’t wait to finally say we are done. So many memories are in that post!
May you have a blessed week!
Blessings to you! You are loved!
P.S. The photo above was taken on a Dairy Farm we passed in Northeast Texas. That one cow that is looking at the camera reminded me of us on this journey. The cow could barely walk but was keeping up with the herd and it kept looking at us. As it stumbled, I was trying to cheer it on “Get Up! You can do it!”
After I got home, I saw this photo on my computer and kept thinking that is like the Lord – He keeps reminding us – “Get Up! You can do it!” Only by His grace alone will this journey be a success. Oh how He loves us! May you truly be reminded – Get Up! You can do it! You are loved by the owner of the universe and then some.

We just moved a month ago 3 hours away from our hometown, with 5 kids, to an HOA neighborhood (new for us as well!)
A month later and I’m not done unpacking yet, but we are settled in and I’m really enjoying it, and really enjoying being closer to the city! (DFW!)
