Where did summer go?

Dear Blog,

My name is Lana (like banana) in case you have forgotten.

It has been a while since I have blogged.   I couldn’t even remember my password.  Or where my start button was at on this laptop.  It has been that long.

I’m realizing how dusty my keyboard is and am amazed how it feels to type.  I love hearing the sounds of click…click…click, backspace…click.

My kids have been going in all different directions this summer.

My eldest attended his first Civil Air Patrol Encampment.  I likened it to preliminary air force boot camp with great food.  He loved working as a team within his unit.  He learned some valuable life lessons.

My daughters then attended a local church camp, called Pine Cove.  Oh my did they have fun!  My youngest daughter even asked the Lord to come into her life.

While the girls were away, my Mom took my boys to her house for the week.  You would think I would enjoy that time alone…but I missed my kids terribly.  Also, my Grandma passed away during that week so we had to make unexpected travel plans for the funeral.

It was so good to see my cousins.  I have never laughed so hard in a Whataburger.  That night of the cousin reunion is going down as one of most special memories deeply rooted in my heart.

After the funeral, we attended a surprise birthday party for my sister in law and got back on the road for the three hour trek to pick up my girlies the next day.

We picked them up and my parents arrived.  The next day we went to church and then they left to my Moms for a week.

Today is Friday and I am on my way to pick them up then to central Texas to pick up my daughter’s dearest and best friend.  Did I mention OUTLET MALL is the meeting place?  Hold Me!  I love a good outlet mall!

Are you still following along this long journey?

Ha!  You ought to see my calendar.  It has so many plans – the pages scream at me – NO more!

Somewhere during this time – we have tiled the bathroom floors, painted a coffee table, painted my nails, cleaned closets, tried to clean floors, and  took a shower or two.  Hey, showers are important!  Notice I did not say fishing!  My husband owes me a date soon!

Oh, I also planned my school year for the next 4 years.  THAT is the most exciting news ever!

So with all that said, I have missed you blog!

Next week, I can’t wait to show you our new tile and other DIY projects.  As always, you can always follow along on Instagram.  (I can do that with my phone – so I do.)

Until next week!

Blessings to you!  You are loved!
