Pressing toward the goal…

February 1, 2010 Lana

…rible. I start wondering if I should go back to bed and skip church. It is easy to forget the reason why we strive to get to church. It just seems like we are rushing like crazies to go sit in a pew for an hour. However, out of guilt that all my kids and hubby are ready to go, I continue to make the mundane effort. After painting my nails on the way to church in the car and breaking two more nails, we finally arrive. My hubby takes the kids to the…

Menu – Jan. 12, 2009

January 11, 2009 Lana

…hout. One of my hobbies is to read recipe books. I love finding that super easy recipe with very few ingredients. I would find that I couldn’t remember where I put the recipe that was on my menu. Purple Park Party for 7 year old

…e Park. I actually made Strawberry cupcakes with real strawberries on top. Easy and Pretty! Notice the flowers on the table, those were the party favors. For the boys, we gave a bouquet of dum dums, that her brother actually made for her party. The wind was blowing like crazy so the sparklers wouldn’t light, it was so funny! The other princess loved the cupcakes as well. We also served fajitas, rice, beans, chips and queso since the party was late…

Ever feel like this?

April 6, 2009 Lana

…able before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. As Christians, it is easy to focus on the cat (i.e. finances, taxes, housework, disobedient children or even weight) and not on the Lord. I encourage you just to be in His presence and truly worship Him. He will comfort and encourage you li…
