Reflections…

December 31, 2009 Lana

…met the author of Hank the Cowdog. How I needed that time with my husband, just him and me. Sweet memories! I thought back to – how this summer was the last time I would see my step-mother. She had been married to my Dad since I was 7 years old. We had tons of memories, some good and some not so good. But, I’d like to remember just the good ones. My heart hurts for my Dad and half-brother. I thought back to – a couple of years ago, where a Doctor…

Happy Birthday MOM!

September 25, 2008 Lana

Today is my mom’s birthday! She is one special lady. Usually my goal for her birthday is to get her something that will make her cry. (I know I’m sick that I like to watch my mom cry but hey gotta get my kicks somewhere.) Hopefully, this will do it. My mom and I are a lot alike. We are both headstrong, opinionated, direct, caring, firstborn, love to dance, get the same jokes as well as not get the same jokes. My mom and I also are really quick to…

Princess Grace ilovemy5kids

I loved sticker books when I was young and to tell you the truth, nothing has changed. I chose these adorable sticker books for my niece to play with and for me to see her reaction as she used them. My niece LOVES all things Princess! She also loves to hear stories. These…

April 5, 2009 Lana

…rom a fall and someone to cheer when something said right. There were even special times just to rest and take a nap. Those were the days, of childhood. I am thankful for my childhood. I am thankful for my parents, both of them. I am truly grateful for those naps and how I long for them now. This was a picture of my dad and me on my first airplane ride. How times have changed! I now get the privilege of being the parent. What a wonderful gift! I a…

A most treasured gift

February 24, 2010 Lana

…It makes noise, annoying loud noises. My Dad enjoyed giving it to my son – just before we went on a 7 hour car trip. The batteries never wavered…they must have been the Energizer bunny kind. It kept going and going and going. This was a very special day to all of us. I would even venture to say, this gift, is probably one of the most cherished gifts my kids have ever received, no matter how annoying the sounds tend to be. My kids adore their Grand…
