I love making my own taco seasonings it is cheaper and I KNOW what is in it. I can also control the heat (spicy) factor.
I’m not totally sure where I got this recipe but I do it different every time depending what I have in the cabinet.
1 Tbsp flour
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp paprika
3/4 tsp salt
3/4 minced onion (most of time I don’t use minced – I use fresh)
1/2 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp sugar
1/8 tsp oregano
Add 2/3 cup water to 1lb ground meat (turkey) and simmer for 10 minutes or so.
Use this in my taco soup recipe. (Just double it.)
I just love Works for Me Wednesdays.
Blessings to you! You are loved!

http://www.halleethehomemaker.com/2010/03/taco-meat/ This is the recipe I use. It is alot like yours but no added sugar. It is a great recipe and really saves me money. I make a large quantity and store in an airtight container to have it ready whenever we make tacos. Saves money, less sodium, and tastes so much better!
