No longer living under a tarp!

June 6, 2012 Lana

Since March 29th, we have been living under a smurf-colored funky blue tarp.

Living under a Blue Tarp

Every roof in our city has been destroyed when we had a major hail storm that truly changed our life.

The wait list for a new roof was 6-8 weeks, with our particular roofer, who happens to be a friend.

I got a call yesterday that I had to choose a roof color and it needed to be that afternoon.  I don’t do well under pressure.  I called my hubby – who said “Whatever you pick is fine with me.”

Smurf Colored Roof

Great more pressure.

So, I called my Diva friend, who happens to be a Interior Designer.  She dropped everything and came over to my rescue.  I love friends that make you feel important and fix my design crisis before I have a decide on a color AND make a huge mistake for everyone on the block to see.

Great, we picked a color.  Then that color was not available in our area.  Ugh.  More pressure.

So we picked another color.  It was lighter than my first pick but it will do.  And anything is better than a blue tarp.

Hail Damaged House

Did you notice my big windows that have boards on them?

The replacements are being delivered on Saturday!  Want to do the happy dance with me?

Then we will be painting the trim.  I can’t wait to show you the colors!  So exciting!!!

Blessings to you!  You are loved!

Yeah for progress!! How exciting! Can’t wait to see the “new additions” and so thankful it is finally your turn to be fixed up. Praise the Lord!

SO thankful! Bless those workers as they endure the heat! Keep the cool water going…. You are surely blessed!
    Love you!

May the LORD bless you and keep you; May the LORD make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; May He turn His face toward you and give you peace. Feel free to leave a comment - we LOVE to hear your thoughts! ~Blessings to you!~ ~You are so loved!~ ~Lana (Like Banana)~
