Vision, Where art thou?

January 8, 2009 Lana

…t’s design. So, I’m on to the never ending search. Today, I uncovered my “vision” and trying to keep it on top of my frustrations. It is in a frame by my computer. I “tweaked” my Vision from Debra Bell, author of “The Ultimate Guide to Homeschooling.” I don’t know what I would do without this book. I have also seen her speak and one word summarizes her, excellence. Okay, now for the “Vision” aka “Targets we aiming to hit while our children are und…

Menu – Jan. 12, 2009

January 11, 2009 Lana

…working out just fine. I have a recipe box (it holds 4×6 index cards) that I don’t leave home without. One of my hobbies is to read recipe books. I love finding that super easy recipe with very few ingredients. I would find that I couldn’t remember where I put the recipe that was on my menu. I love toile!

January 13, 2009 Lana

…m of my house. (This is a toy box lid cover that I made with a staple gun. I don’t sew.) Besides most toile is timeless. It comes in many shapes, forms, colors and designs. I also have it in my girls’ room but since it was not in order, I will post a picture later. (My kitchen curtains again with my Princess model.) When I mention to people that I love toile, some make funny faces, like they have never heard the term. So, if you ever hear the word…

Tea Parties and friends…

February 4, 2009 Lana

…came across this photo…some of my girlfriends. We weren’t have a tea party but we still like to fellowship (church term for food) and enjoying each other’s company. (Shh…don’t tell them they are on here, it’s a secret.) I thought how sweet. My girls are following in my footsteps. (Who doesn’t enjoy friends and playtime?) Proverbs 18:24 (New King James Version) A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer…

Happy Birthday – to 2 very OLD people!!! (hehehe)

March 13, 2009 Lana

…let them make mud pies in her kitchen if they had the desire. Ohhh, she definitely spoils them and me! She just went on vacation with us this past fall and was such a sport. (I honestly don’t know, how we would have done so much without her.) You can’t stop this 81 year old. (She is proud of her age and can run circles around me.) My nickname for her growing up, was “my soft, wrinkly, OLD, sweet Grandma”. Happy Birthday you two! You are loved very…
