Some Christmas early

December 22, 2008 Lana

My hubby couldn’t stand it. I have a major confession to make – I’m a gift snoop. When someone says that they have a secret about me – it drives me insane. Mentally, I can’t sleep till I know.

Well, this year for Christmas has been totally different. I have been purposing in my heart to be calm and totally wait for everyone else to even open their gift first.

Maybe it was the fact that I have “trained” my husband but he was busting at the seams to give me one of my gifts. So at dinner tonight, I just had to let him.

He gave me something that I mentioned to him months ago, if he ever wanted to give me a gift then this was it. I really don’t remember saying that about this, but. I so would had said it, because I love them.

We have been married for about 11 plus years. A lot of our wedding glasses have been crucified due to the dishwashers, human and machine. So, we have mismatched glasses. Really it is no big deal, but don’t you ever have a desire to have matching dishware when all the friends are over?

So, he gave me 12 cobalt blue (my absolutely fave color in all the world) goblets. They are gorgeous. My children will have to go through a safety test in order to use them. These will be hand washed only and you may not be sick to drink out of them. (Maybe that is going to far, but hey, my goblets that I am washing by hand.)

Thank you my dear husband. You are truly a keeper. I really love and so glad that you are mine.

I’m glad you got the glasses early! Now you can use them for Christmas dinner.

About the little light from Cottage Chick.

She has a blog just for the cottage now (www.theoldoakcottage.blogspot.com). Just leave her a comment about the little light and she could order you one. I hope she gets more merchandise on her blog soon.

I love it when guys manage to do a bit of thought-filled gifting. After 21 years, mine has actually pulled it off well a few times. Yay for your new goblets!

I am the same way! I can’t stand to not be in the “know” about my gifts. My husband knows this, so he has his mother wrap my presents and he brings them in on Christmas morning. But, not this year! This year, he wrapped them himself and they are already under the tree…torturing me! He won’t even let me touch them…but he has to go to work tomorrow! 🙂

I am so happy for you and your beautiful new glasses. He is so thoughtful and pretty romantic too!

May the LORD bless you and keep you; May the LORD make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; May He turn His face toward you and give you peace. Feel free to leave a comment - we LOVE to hear your thoughts! ~Blessings to you!~ ~You are so loved!~ ~Lana (Like Banana)~
