Today is special!

December 31, 2008 Lana

Today is New Year’s Eve! This is my fave day of the year, because everyone all over the world celebrates and it just so happens to be my birthday as well!

Want to know something else exciting? My hubby and I bought a new Rebel Camera yesterday on EBay. I can’t wait to get it! It is actually better than my first.

We went to the Bestest Store, if you know what I mean, the night before. I had purchased the “if the kids drop it – they pay for it warranty” on my first camera. (It got stolen – the warranty did not cover that.) Anyway, they gave me money back for it. They were so gracious. However, they no longer sold the same camera. The newer one was lets say was waaaaaaaaaaay out of our price range. We tried the little point and shoot cameras. I asked the sales lady, how many picts per frame? She looked at me weird and said one. I looked at my understanding husband and almost cried. I can’t do that…I’m too spoiled to a fast camera. He kept trying to tell me that I wouldn’t be happy unless I had a SLR so we will save up.

So, with the combined Christmas monies from my mom (thank you), mother-n-law (thank you), the Bestest store warranty plus the graciousness of my hubby (thank you), I was able to grab a wonderful deal. I should be receiving it in a few days. Yippee!!!

May Lord bless you this New Year!

I like your new look too. Yes, I did my own header and background. I used scrapblog.com for some creativity. The cutest blog on the block has blog secrets that help a lot too!

Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday may God bless you! Happy birthday to you! I am so excited for you and I know you are majorly anxious to receive your new camera. I am LOVING mine. I take shots of almost everything these days. My sweet husband surprised me with a Nikon D60. I hope that I can figure it all out. I may need some help!

May the LORD bless you and keep you; May the LORD make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; May He turn His face toward you and give you peace. Feel free to leave a comment - we LOVE to hear your thoughts! ~Blessings to you!~ ~You are so loved!~ ~Lana (Like Banana)~
