Sunday after church, I asked my blue eye boy to make some tea. (We love our sweet TEA.) He put the tea pot on the stove top. He turned on my electric stove not really paying attention to which burner it was on. The leftover ravioli lasagna was on the burner, next to the tea, in my glass lasagna dish.
The kids were actually sitting at the table eating pizza when I heard a glass explosion. I just happened to be in the next room. It turns out he turned on the burner under the lasagna instead of the teapot.
Again, we are so thankful that the kids were at the table. I have never seen glass go everywhere like this. If anyone of them had been at the sink or even by the refrigerator, they would have had glass sprayed on them and most likely been seriously hurt.
My girls actually had a friend over and she told her mom what had happened later. We talked about it again today. Who knew a Pyrex glass would shatter and explode across the room? It was truly a mess! I’m so thankful that the Lord was protecting us from the exploding lasagna. (My boys even went further with their prayer, they were thankful they did not have to eat it anymore because they don’t like ravioli lasagna.)

hey; thanks for stopping by! I just read the previous post about your neighbors fire, and this post. WHOA! That’s crazy, nerve racking, and funny about the “little explosion” of the pyrex glass! I actually did the same thing when I was a lot younger, but didnt know it was wrong! All of a sudden my tortellini up! crazy. So; I told my husband he was going to get sugars, but then I fell asleep early…whoops

Lana, this has nothing to do with your post, but I just wanted to say that I love the prayer you have on the top right corner of this page.
Those verses have become some of my favorites. My pastor prays them over the congregation each Sunday before we are dismissed.
May the Lord bless you too!! Have a wonderful day!

Oh my goodness I didn’t know that that could happen. Thank goodness all are well and just a mess to clean up. Hugs, Bobbi Jo

Oh wow–I’ve had a glass explosion (or implosion) before, but it sounds like yours was crazy!
Visiting you from SITS–have a great day!

What a blessing that no one was hurt! (And how funny that they were happy about that particular meal being destroyed – sounds exactly like my kids!!)

woah, that’s crazy! A glass explosion is never good.
And… the Mexican hot chocolate IS good. Starbucks hot chocolate is also delicious and thick, but … also ridiculously expensive. 🙂
