One of our favorite Christmas Traditions:
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
[wpsr_pinterest]
When I was in elementary, our teachers would read this aloud to us. I loved it!
I knew before I had children, that this book would be in our permanent library. Every December, we dig it out and read it aloud, usually on my bed. It is a fairly short book and we read only one chapter a day so it goes a little longer.
It is about a family who find the “true” meaning of Christmas! It is filled with much laughter!
It truly is a gift worth getting or giving!

I cannot even tell you how many times I’ve been in this play. It is truly a funny, yet touching book, as well. I love a good, timeless Christmas tradition!

i have collected Christmas books, especially vintage ones, since before i even had children – knowing that when i did have children, i wanted to spend each evening of the 25 days before Christmas reading a different book to them. my twins are preschoolers and love this tradition so far. i will have to add this book as they get older! Merry Christmas!

I love that book, but I’d forgotten about it. It’s been several years since I read it, to second graders. Now I’ll have to go unpack it from my teacher boxes in the basement.

I just had an “of course, why haven’t I thought of that” moment! I LOVED this story when I was younger and my little guy loves to read. We always read “The Littlest Angel” on either the 23rd or 24th, but this could also give us something to lead up to that.
Thanks for sharing!
