A most treasured gift

February 24, 2010 Lana

Back in the fall, my step-mom passed away.  Before she died, she had bought my baby this fireman’s helmet for a Christmas present.2 FiremenIt is the most obnoxious gift ever. It makes noise, annoying loud noises.  My Dad enjoyed giving it to my son – just before we went on a 7 hour car trip.  The batteries never wavered…they must have been the Energizer bunny kind.  It kept going and going and going.Joyful noise  This was a very special day to all of us.  I would even venture to say, this gift, is probably one of the most cherished gifts my kids have ever received, no matter how annoying the sounds tend to be.5 with Grandpapa My kids adore their Grand-pa-pa.  We don’t get to see him very often but the times we do – they are precious!

Blessings to you!!!  You are loved!!!

This post is really nice, I love seeing families that are full of love. I wish I had this moments too with my grandpa, but they both died before I was born. So I really do like this post, I know how loving grandparents are to their grandchildren.

How sweet!! I am so thankful for the time my girls get to spend with my parents. Although we only see them a few times a year, we try to make the most of our days together – just as y’all did!

It’s a blessing to have a Grand Pa Pa that enjoys time with his grandkids, because so many Grandparents miss out because they don’t want to take the time.

I smiled when I read this post I have the equivalent in the form of a Dora table with a doll whose hair is matted beyond recognition. It is in the corner of my den , and I cannot seem to get rid of it, it was given to my youngest daughter by her granpa, my stepdad) who died in a car crash. This is the only grandpa they ever knew , so the lost was especially hard. Holding on to certain things keeps grandpa close. Thanks for sharing,

May the LORD bless you and keep you; May the LORD make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; May He turn His face toward you and give you peace. Feel free to leave a comment - we LOVE to hear your thoughts! ~Blessings to you!~ ~You are so loved!~ ~Lana (Like Banana)~
