Some books, you have to read book one in order to understand the following books but this was not the case in the Texas Dreams series.
Priscilla Morton, the main character, and her parents leave Boston and head to the Texas hill country. I loved that it was set in Texas, although, I had not heard of many of the towns mentioned.
Immediately, the action starts. A hold-up, shootings, violence and heroes are all in the first chapter. This is not a boring book. Zachary Webster, a man with his own personal battles enters the picture and you see a love story. But, with every love story comes trials and frustrations – only this one has a little more than normal.
It was a very insightful book dealing with mature issues that many people might have in their personal life – from redemption and grace to just plain forgiveness. I kept wondering what would happen next and how that would be handled. I was pleasantly amazed at the ending.
This would be a perfect book for traveling or to read right before bed. Although, this is a very easy read, I would definitely recommend this book to a mature reader due to some “adult” issues.
Blessings to you! You are loved!!!
