Shabby Chic House Tour

September 22, 2010 Lana

Meet my sweet friend, G.

She lives in Tennessee.

Shabby House Tour
G has a way with taking something out of nothing and making it beautiful.

G and Kids

She has talent like Tennessee has Kudzu.
(I’m a lil’ green with envy…she has mountains – we only have palm trees.)

I begged her to let me take some pictures of her house and post them here.  Boy, I miss her!IMG_5036 This is a REAL barn door she uses as closet doors. IMG_5037 How gorgeous!IMG_5038 Everything in her house is Shabby…which I learned if it is a pastel then it works!hob-knobs A collection of candle sticks or hob-knobs.  candlesticks I loves them!whiter than snow... This picture is special!  Before G moved to TN – we had went shopping together and she had bought it on our trip.  We both fell in love with it.  The scripture on it says “Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow…”  This Works for Me!IMG_5042 This is just a box full of catch-all on her back porch.   Doesn’t it have character?IMG_5043 Look at the handle!  Such Shabby Charm!IMG_5044 This is a swing on her back porch!  I loves it!More barn doors More barn doors covering her washer and dryer.  She found them at a barn sale.  How fun!Love the details.... Don’t you love the details on this piece?  I’m going to do this to my entertainment center very soon!  Only in black!  YUMMY!IMG_5047Yes, she has a WHITE couch!  I love this room!  It is pastel and so comfy!  lamb's ear All the kids petting the lamb’s ear!  They always learn something at G’s house.
Sweet friendships! Thank you G for letting me show off your house and for letting us stop in for lunch!  You and your family are a super blessing!
Blessings to you!  You are loved!Linked to:

I love the barn doors. Do you know how she hung them up? Also, the catch all box is pretty cool.

BTW, I’m from South Florida so I hear ya about the mountains buuuuut palm trees come with beaches so they’re not entirely bad. 😉

Love this style! I saw a picture of a barn door used as a headboard. It was SO cute. Her barn doors made me think of that.

I LOVE her house!!!! I’m in dire need of design help–and money to pull it all together. Someday, someday. Can’t wait to see your pictures!! Stopping by from the Homeschool Hop! 🙂

I love shabby chic because it leaves room for error.
Her home looks so inviting! Very nice. Thanks for sharing, I got a few ideas. Hee! Hee!
    Have a great day.
