My daughters love the American Girl Doll stories, the free magazines, movies and of course the dolls.
My eldest daughter wanted one for her birthday last year. Molly!
Her very very very good friend’s family (Grandma, Aunt, Mom and I think the other Grandma) went in and bought her Molly for her birthday.
I can’t tell you how blessed my daughter was when she got her in the mail. I was in tears as well. When someone would bless my daughters – they bless me as well.

Now another friend told me about a program that our local library is hosting.
Once a month they have an American Girl Night. The girls bring a doll, read about the story and make a craft.
My eldest actually won a book. She finished reading it that night! I love when my children read – especially when it focuses on something educational. (Being a homeschooling Mom – I thrive on anything that provokes learning!)
My other daughter loved the craft! You put the ball in the cone! This kept her busy for hours.
(Don’t tell – we are thinking about going in with family to get her a doll for Christmas. They even have miniature ones, which are 80% cheaper than the full size ones. Target sells a generic one as well…they look very similar. We’ll have to see…)
Blessings to you! You are loved!

My oldest daughter has Molly as well. I suggest keeping her hair in the braids because it’s tough to keep it looking nice otherwise.

Hi Lana! We love American Girl too at our house. About 2 years ago I bought the doll from Target that look like the American girl ( I couldn’t pay the price for the real thing) honestly the girls liked them for a few days, an they are really good dolls for the price (though they don’t compare to the real thing)
This year we went to the American Girl store in NYC- don’t ever go if you don’t want to spend :))) obviously there is a quality difference but if your youngest doesn’t mind I would get the Target doll- and save yourself lots of $$$ maybe buy an outfit from American girl instead- just a thought!

Aw, I miss the days when my girls played with the AG dolls. All four of my girls have them and now they are packed in their hope chests for their future daughters. Enjoy it Mom….while it lasts! Lisa~
