My kids are growing up.
I don’t appreciate it.
I like that they come get in bed with me with snuggles.
I like that they call out to “Mommy” when they are hurt or scared.
I like that they call out to “Daddy” if they throw up because “Mommy” can’t handle it.
I like that “Daddy” knows “Mommy” is the weaker vessel and he loves me like the Lord does.
However…
I like that they can make their own sandwiches or help the younger ones.
I like that they can make their own beds (and Mommy’s.)
I like that they can read to each other and be independent for play-time.
I like that they like to go shopping. (Girls that is.)
I like that they can kill bugs. (Boys that is.)
I like they love the Lord.
And….
I know they have a great future because the Lord holds it.
But…
I’m still going to hold them…
a little tighter…
as long as I can.
a little tighter…
as long as I can.
This has been a Mommy Moment.
Blessings to you! You are loved!
