This past summer, I was really struggling with remodeling our home, homeschooling, preparing meals, taking showers, working in the garden, laundry, mopping, remodeling our home, healthy choices, and ALL the normal activities that ladies do on an ongoing basis.
I really didn’t want to quit writing on my blog. I see it as a ministry to so many – including my own children. It keeps me focused and gives me something that I wish my Great Grandma’s would have given me – their own story.
So, I started praying and just asking the Lord what I could do to get it “ALL” done.
One day, it hit me like a bolt of lightening – as I was walking out the door.
Guest Writers – giving their perspective of a Proverbs 31 Lady.
If anyone can get it done – she can!
Proverbs 31 is the ultimate Lady in the Bible to me. I could only hope that I would be like her one day. I think that chapter 31 is a great example to all of us.
Each lady (and even some men) – are going to be sharing what God has given them to write about Proverbs 31 on each Friday. It might be testimonies, recipes, crafts, husband/wife issues, raising children, the list goes on…
God is so good – He made direct appointments for this venture. I’m in tears just thinking about all of this came together!
PLUS – there are going to be the COOLEST giveaways from some awesome companies!
If you would like to help me spread the news, I’ve made a button to put on your blog or website. Feel free to share on Facebook, Twitter, Stumble Upon, Pin on Pinterest or even just tell a friend!
These writers are truly amazing and I can’t wait to share all the exciting posts!
If you are not familiar with Proverbs 31 – I’ve put the Message Version at the bottom of the post.
Blessings to you! You are so LOVED!

A good woman is hard to find,
and worth far more than diamonds.
Her husband trusts her without reserve,
and never has reason to regret it.
Never spiteful, she treats him generously
all her life long.
She shops around for the best yarns and cottons,
and enjoys knitting and sewing.
She’s like a trading ship that sails to faraway places
and brings back exotic surprises.
She’s up before dawn, preparing breakfast
for her family and organizing her day.
She looks over a field and buys it,
then, with money she’s put aside, plants a garden.
First thing in the morning, she dresses for work,
rolls up her sleeves, eager to get started.
She senses the worth of her work,
is in no hurry to call it quits for the day.
She’s skilled in the crafts of home and hearth,
diligent in homemaking.
She’s quick to assist anyone in need,
reaches out to help the poor.
She doesn’t worry about her family when it snows;
their winter clothes are all mended and ready to wear.
She makes her own clothing,
and dresses in colorful linens and silks.
Her husband is greatly respected
when he deliberates with the city fathers.
She designs gowns and sells them,
brings the sweaters she knits to the dress shops.
Her clothes are well-made and elegant,
and she always faces tomorrow with a smile.
When she speaks she has something worthwhile to say,
and she always says it kindly.
She keeps an eye on everyone in her household,
and keeps them all busy and productive.
Her children respect and bless her;
her husband joins in with words of praise:
“Many women have done wonderful things,
but you’ve outclassed them all!”
Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades.
The woman to be admired and praised
is the woman who lives in the Fear-of-God.
Give her everything she deserves!
Festoon her life with praises!

So timely that I happened to check in on your blog…I was chosen to read Proverbs 31 at my Grandmother’s funeral 2 weeks ago. It was the perfect passage to celebrate her life. I’ll stop by and check out the new series.

I look forward to it, I really do, but…. with some trepidation. How far I fall short, and yet I love to learn more of this passage of Scripture.
Thanks for doing it 🙂
