Teacher’s Dream: A Timeline Fold-Out Book

January 31, 2012 Lana

Big Book of History Book Review

Publisher:  New Leaf Publishing Group
ISBN:  0890516235

Ever wonder when in history something happened?
In our home, it happens ALL the time!
  • “Was the Parthenon built before or after the Great Pyramid at Giza?”
  • “When was the first Olympics before or after Alexander the Great was born?”
  • “Did Isaiah live before or after Queen Esther?”
Now we have a resource  that will help spell it out for us with pictures!  It is a World History Timeline in a book!
It is Big Book of History!
It is a 15 foot fold-out timeline from Creation to Modern Computers
.
A teacher’s dream book!

Big Book of History

This is one of those books that need to be on every teacher’s shelf.
It has been such an aid to My Father’s World curriculum.  This year we are studying from Creation to Greece and this helps me explain where we are in history and how much farther until we get a school break.
.  Timeline for Homeschoolers
The book is HUGE!  But small.
It actually folds up thin but when opened up  – it is 15 feet long!
 Timeline with pictures
The pictures are so colorful.  I love that it has references to scripture and tidbits of trivia sprinkled throughout the book.
Big Book of History
The only bad thing is that you can’t remove the timeline to post on a classroom wall.  But, then again – most people don’t have a 15 foot open wall.
This is one of those books I will be recommending for ALL my fellow teacher and homeschooling friends. It would even be useful just to have around the house for parents who love history or need a better understanding of it.
Blessings to you!  You are loved!
