When a Heart Stops by Lynette Eason Book Review
From the publisher:
Spunky and outgoing, nothing much bothers medical examiner Serena Hopkins–except for the thought of falling in love again. But when a serial killer is picking off her former classmates, Serena’s life becomes intertwined with her old high school crush, FBI agent Dominic Allen. Is the secret she’s keeping putting her next on the killer’s hit list? Can she trust Dominic with the truth before it’s too late?
My Review:
First this book is a series. It helps to read the first one. Even though I read the first one, I had a hard time remembering who was who. Plus, this book is not finished. To get the entire story, the next one will have to be read.
This book was very suspenseful, which I rather enjoyed. I appreciated that the author put a lot of thought into the plot and made it worth my time and kept my attention.
The characters were almost believable, another plus in reading fiction. Even when one of the characters made homemade pizza, I truly found myself wanting a piece!
I’m not sure why this would be characterized as Christian fiction. There was nothing that made me grow in faith.
This is not for little eyes kind of book. It did have a few adult only issues i.e. murder.
Blessings to you! You are loved!
