We were driving through New Mexico late at night a few weeks ago. We kept going over cattle guards. I finally made my hubby stop and take a photo of this. A cow crossing road sign.
We were on a very public road. Yes, it was a real cow crossing.
Yes, I AM a blogger who sees a potential post in the making. We NEVER saw a cow. Just a bright yellow sign that made me smile.
This was and is not a normal sign that I get to see everyday. In fact, I couldn’t tell you the last time I saw a cow. I live in the city. We have chickens, fish and dogs. It was a blessing to see something so ordinary – out of the ordinary.
It is the little things in life that truly make me grateful.
- Clean Bathrooms on a long road trip.
- Unwrinkled clothes.
- Hot showers.
- Races with my kids.
- Boots. (I really love boots. Even if I didn’t live in Texas – I’d still love boots.)
- Toothpaste.
- Light bulbs.
- Rocking chairs.
- Forks.
Even cow signs.
