Back to the books today! Oh how I’ve missed my children getting excited about learning and doing real book work.
“Good morning students! Welcome back – I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas break. Yes, I know we homeschool and I was with you but I feel like we should take a tour of our school so we can remember where things go.”
Let me just say…this was revolutionary. My kids didn’t know I had rearranged bookshelves and rooms. I really pray that it will help us stay organized.
After that we sat at the kitchen table and started school.
Today’s Greek word: Chronos
They all shouted… “it means TIME!”
Oh, the Mother in me was doing the happy dance.
My kids know Greek! Lalalalala.
Then they told me how they knew….
On The Incredibles, the main bad guy’s password was Kronos.
The Incredibles is my hubby’s favorite movie. I should mention it is not mine.
So, I had no idea about Kronos.
Also, the youngest Greek Titan from Percy Jackson and the Olympians was Kronos.
Sure…they knew their Greek word from Pixar and Disney.
I don’t care how they knew…they were excited they knew the definition!
Yay! School is back in session! AND this teacher is doing the happy dance!
Blessings to you! You are loved!
