Love at Any Cost: A Novel (The Heart of San Francisco)
is one of those books that I would give 4.5 stars. It is the first book in the Heart of San Fransisco series.
I fell in love with all the characters.
The main lady, Cassidy McClare, is from my hometown area, Humble, Texas back in the oil booming days. She leaves the area to visit with family in San Fransisco. A love story from the get-go.
It was very interesting to see how the author spins the story at the end. I really can’t wait for the next books to be written so I can see how the rest of the series plays out. Although, the main story does end with this book, it will be interesting to follow up with the rest of the family members.
I really liked how the author drew me in with the history. I kept wanting to see dates so I could truly understand the time era. Hopefully, in the next part it will be mentioned.
I also liked how the characters didn’t all have a Christian view. It made it more realistic.
This book is not meant for young eyes however it would make the cutest Hallmark movie.
