After years of contemplation and praying…it is official we are moving!
This Thanksgiving we made the decision to look for a job in the North part of Texas. We will be closer to family. Plus, our kids are growing up and will be in college in a few years. If we move, we will be closer to them and we want to have a home established before they move out.
We came home from visiting my parents and my husband called his boss to make an inquiry about a job in that area.
His boss informed him that we there is a job in his company that hadn’t been posted yet and if he wanted it – it was his.
Talk about the Lord making a way.
The only thing is, since we requested the job, they weren’t going to pay for any moving expenses. Bummer. Like BIG bummer!
Moving 7 people over 500 miles one way, is not an easy or cheap task.
I’ve been purging. And purging. And purging.
I have been selling like crazy on the Facebook Garage Sale Group and saving every penny so we can afford things like gas. This move is totally not planned for and the budget shows it.
The Lord is so faithful.
I have been finding free boxes. Already, we have had interest in our home. Please pray it sells quickly. I do not relish the thought of being homeless.
I did find this awesome idea to stay organized while moving. I made a board on Pinterest called “I like to Move it, Move It” with ideas to keep moving simple.
Oh, I am going to miss our beautiful home, with 10 closets. Oh those wonderful closets. They hide a multitude of clutter.
Plus, I have been sick. Go figure.
A cough that came out of no where. I’ve been on an inhaler, essential oils, and chicken broth. A recipe hopefully for a quick recovery.
Tomorrow we leave to look for the “perfect place” for our new residence.
Oh, how we are going to miss this area. The palm trees, our friendly neighbors, our precious church, our sweet friends, and the culture. We have grown so much the past 11 years. My husband and I are closer and don’t regret a day of this experience.
My kids are having meltdowns daily. They have only known this area. They don’t remember what snow looks like or really any of the seasons. They went swimming the day before Christmas. I guess we are still going to be in Texas, so we are not saying goodbye to flip flops, but it will be different.
So, if you remember to pray for us during this transition, please do.
Blessings to you! You are loved!

Good luck on your move! We just moved to SA from Idaho in September. So if we can handle a big move like that, you all will be pro’s! 🙂
