and dreams and secrets collide?
My Review:
I love Texas Historical Romance books! I enjoy gaining insight how our forefathers lived and how history could have played a role in the lives of normal people.
This book started off in Texas but ended more about Colorado, which I didn’t mind a bit.
I was reminded in the story why I liked historical fiction, it gives me a history lesson and insight to the past with a love story.
The love story in this book was missing a few details however. I am hoping the next book will answer a few questions that were left unanswered like the who was actually involved in the maid’s father’s death? Did they move back to Texas or stay in Colorado?
I hoping the author expounds more in the next book.
Overall, the book is not one that I would read aloud to my kids. It was for “mature eyes” only.
This book did not inspire me to grow spiritually but it did have a few “Sunday School lessons” sprinkled throughout the entire read.
Overall, I would recommend this book – especially for someone who is interested in Texas history, even just a bit.
Blessings to you! You are loved!
