Day 6
Yesterday, was my first day out of the house without crutches or my hubby to carry me. A happy moment!
I took two of my kids to meet a surgeon.
They have to have their wisdom teeth taken out.
I thought we were out the door and would have plenty of time to spare. Turns out I was wrong about the appointment time and was already late. I was always tardy to everything when the kids were younger. But, I haven’t been late to anything in years. I hate that feeling where everything is going on swimmingly and then all of sudden a blow to the gut. Thankfully, they waited on us.
After we get there, and we meet the doctor, the kids need all their wisdom teeth surgically removed. YUCK!
After a mess up with insurance, they would call back with a final date later. This morning, we decided Thanksgiving week would be a great time to schedule a surgery. Maybe my definition of great and my kids’ definition probably greatly differ. I am thinking they won’t miss much school. I am sure that they are thinking the same thing.
Having my babies signed up for a surgery of any kind seems unreal. They didn’t do anything to deserve someone cutting into them. I can’t imagine what it would be like to have something seriously wrong or life threatening.
Speaking of something seriously wrong, my sister in law has been fighting for years, she is desperate need of a kidney.
She has been in the news lately and her story has gone viral.
See the Channel 5 WLWT broadcast. (On a side note – I just love her haircut in the clip!)
The hope is that someone steps up that is willing and would be a match, soon. The Lord has this and it is so obvious His arm is not too short that He cannot save.
If you are interested in more details about kidney donating, please call Rebecca’s Transplant Coordinator at Christ Hospital, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her name is Tricia Monson. You can reach her at 513-585-1440.
They even have a program where you don’t have to be an exact match.
If you would like to share her story, that would even be more awesome! God has the perfect person in mind for her. There is no doubt. His plan is always perfect!
Being thankful, has been a choice this week. It is not one that I am regretting by any means. In fact, I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
Blessings to you! You are loved!
