How to make money at home, a great resource!

February 19, 2016 Lana

I should start by telling you, I do not care for digital or e-books.

I know electronic readers are easier, faster and you don’t have to wake your partner while reading at night.

BUT…

I like the feel of a paper book.  I like highlighting words or quotes that mean something to me.  I just like being able to put bookmarks in different places of the book, if I want to flip back and forth.

ilovemy5kids Book Review

So, as much as I was excited to read this book by Crystal Paine, I wasn’t looking forward to reading it in my Kindle App on my iPad.

Thankfully, I gleaned a few new things that I haven’t considered when reading a digital book.

But, before explain…let me tell you about:

Money Making Mom by Crystal Paine

Money Making Mom Book Review

From the publisher:

Entrepreneur, author, and popular blogger Crystal Paine shares the secrets of building income at home, using real life examples to from her own journey in becoming a money-making mom as well as the stories of other women from all walks of life. The nuts and bolts of how to make more money from home are revealed in clear steps that can be immediately and easily put into practice.

But more than just a how-to book for earning extra income, The Money-Making Mom is a challenge to dream big and create a pathway for life. Paine offers examples and insights about what “finding your purpose” can look like in family, career, and service to others. Readers will find inspiration and hope for a life that’s more than “just getting by,” one driven by vision and the freedom to bless others generously.

My Review:

I love Crystal Paine.  I have followed her blog before it went “big.” She is the one who encouraged me to get a Facebook Fan Page, years ago.  She is the one who has encouraged me to be more of a Proverbs 31 lady and work into the night and that I can help to provide food for my family, even though I do not “work outside the home.”

Honestly, I thought this book would just be a recap of her blog, which I have read for years.  I was wrong.

Money Making Mom provided me with links to actual money making ideas.  I was entertained and kept saying “I’ve made that mistake more than a dozen times.”  It gave me a new hope that I didn’t even know was missing from my blog.  I love finding a book or resource that provides encouragement and applicable suggestions.

She has invested years of learning to making a profit for her family and her mission of serving others.  I think this is why I loved her and if we lived in a land of Avonlea, she would be my “kindred spirit.” In reality, she is my top 10 favorite teachers and I am her hungry student – I mean she has buckets of knowledge with efficient and proven strategies how to get things done.  This book did NOT waste a minute of my time!

This book would be great for any mom who wanted to learn more about starting their own business or even had an inkling of wanting to earn more money for their household.  I wish I had this book years ago, when I had first started blogging.  I did not even know the questions to ask.

She also writes where it is easy to follow and understand.  Sometimes when I read “How To” books they put me to sleep but this one is quite informative and made me stay focused.

One more positive aspect, I loved learning about all the ideas that were in Money Making Mom and that they were NOT scams.  So many times we look for ways to make money at home and they are not legit.  These have been proven, at least in the past.

Normally, I would have stayed away from any e-book but I am so thankful that I went ahead with this one.  It had many links that I was able to immediately open and gain more knowledge.

Blessings to you!  You are loved!
