I just love Fleur-Di-Lis!
In every room of our home, I’m trying to incorporate it somehow.
The Fleur-Di-Lis is translated from the French as “lily flower.” But, it also can mean the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost. I just love that!
That is why New Orleans’ football team the “Saints” have it on their football helmet and field. Isn’t that cool? Who knew, watching football, you could learn about design? (BTW – I’m not a Saints fan. I’m actually rooting for the Titans this weekend. I probably like football more than my hubby although he has to constantly remind me of the rules.)
Yesterday, I went in to Hobby Lobby. EVERYWHERE you turned they had a Fleur-di-lis. I was almost in paradise. My children kept going, “Look mom! Here’s one. Here’s another.” I love it when my children know my taste.
