In the fall, we did some traveling and more traveling…I’m still posting about our trip because we stopped at so many places…One of the places was Louisville, Kentucky. Home of the world’s LARGEST bat.
One of my objectives of homeschooling is to stop at everything that is the World’s Largest.
(Must be a Texas’ thang.)
{My spell check suggested THONG for thang. No, Mr. Spellchecker, it’s THANG.} It was COLD and we had not expected the change in temperature this quickly.
So, the baby had to be wrapped in his blanket because we couldn’t find our coats.

Lots of trivia.
Lots of bats…
This guy was stamping the bats. We got to see him close up shop for the night.
We ate at Joe’s Crab Shack right beside the Ohio River overlooking Indiana. Yummy!
My eldest and my sweet Grandma. They both ordered Clam Chowder…something that I thought just older people liked. My son has proved me wrong, again. 😉
This was the only time during the entire trip, that we kept getting lost because of construction. Our map was not in sync with the roads which made me not in sync with the driver.
Yes, we were beyond frustration and tired after driving over 1000 miles with five kids, one grandma, 1 husband (Prince Charming) and myself (Queenie-Poo). These are things we snicker at now. However, 2 hours later we arrived at our destination with everyone still loving one another.
