My very own button…explained.

August 22, 2009 Lana

I wanted to explain my button.

It has a picture of a tree that was taken at my parent’s house.  Where we live now, we don’t have these HUGE  trees.  I just appreciate them so much more now that I’m an adult and a parent.

As a child, we would climb them, use them for shade, hiding places, find critters or watch them blow with the winds.

As an adult, I am reminded of God’s faithfulness and
Psalm 1:1-3.

    1 Blessed is the man
         Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
         Nor stands in the path of sinners,
         Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
         And in His law he meditates day and night.
 3 He shall be like a tree
         Planted by the rivers of water,
         That brings forth its fruit in its season,
         Whose leaf also shall not wither;
         And whatever he does shall prosper.
          (Psalm 1:1-3, New King James Version)

Trees withstand storms, trials, disease, even kids, and are not rushed to hurry their own agenda.  They are set to produce fruit in their owner’s timing.

Not to mention, how majestic trees are.  They are HUGE!  The smell of the pine needles or tree sap just take me back to being a child.  When fall comes, the colors are just breathtaking.  My hubby has started calling me a tree-hugger.  Yes, I don’t mind being called a tree-hugger in this respect.

I hope when you see a tree – you are reminded of this scripture as well and are like the “blessed man” as well.  Enjoy the video below!

Blessings to you!  You are loved!!!

If you would like my button to be posted on your blog or site, just copy the code under the picture in the sidebar and paste it.

I hope now you know and appreciate the meaning behind it.

    You brought back memories of my childhood. I used to climb all the trees in our house and loving it being up there. It’s just a magical feeling. Your button sure looks great. I can trade buttons with you if that’s ok. Let me know 🙂
