It is getting close to migration time for hummingbirds depending where you live. I love this time! I filled up my feeders yesterday and this morning I saw 10 different birds going crazy.
I use powdered nectar, which costs about $1.99 per bottle. I make 2/3 cup at a time and clean my feeders once a week. Depending on how many feeders and birds you have will determine how much nectar a person needs.
I have a friend who refuses to put up feeders because she has so many plants that are hummer friendly. I however like to see them as I wash dishes so I put my feeders right outside the kitchen window.
Did I mention they eat bugs? Need I say more?
