Many years ago, my “Boaz” showed up.
Not one minute, have I ever regretted a day of our marriage.

(I don’t know what exactly that means –
my Grandma always said it)
my house is a wreck at the moment.

Hint: It is close to the red box.

(We need to use our imaginary glasses.)

What an awesome gift from the 1970’s builder!
By the way, Mr. Builder – why would you put up such ugly paneling over sheetrock? I just don’t get it.

We had to build a temporary wall (the lighter wood). Because it was a wall that held up the entire house – we had to put up some support beams.
This is where my walk-in pantry is going.
What do you like about your pantry?
Would you change anything?

Do you see the wires coming out of the ceiling? Behind that is the wall that supports the entire house. It is amazing how much I have learned about construction this week.
A view from the kitchen into the living room.
This is where we have been hanging out.
Try to picture beautiful tile here.
Yeah, I can’t either…but not to much longer and we won’t have to use our imaginary glasses anymore.

Another view of the brick column…it is coming down.
This is going to be a bar for the little or big people to sit down and have a cookie. Oh, how I’d go for a cookie at the moment!
Do you like thus far? Or are you like me and have to wait for the whole thing to be finished to appreciate it?
Go see more of our BIG HOME RENOVATION 2010!
Blessings to you! You are loved!

It’s a good start! I love seeing it all along the way and not just “Before” and “After”. I have been tight where you are. Hang in there…it’s all worth it! Lisa~
Pantry? What pantry? I wish I HAD a pantry. All I have is a few bookshelves that I put in for some extra storage in my lovely 1950s kitchen.
I dream of a pantry!
This looks like one long and intense Gitter Done project. LOL I remember living like this well. For a LONG time. It was hard, but the end result is so worth all the dust and clutter you are now tripping over. Going crazy? Go camping from time to time. 🙂 (that’s what I did!)
Thanks for linking up!

I enjoy construction. Yah, I’m weird. I like moving, too.
So, you are doing this yourselves? How long will it take you?
Please continue to share the process.
Wow! That’s some remodelling. I know it’s not so easy going through this stage of it, although it is kinda exciting too, don’t you think. It will be FAB though when it’s all done. I love seeing things like this coming to shape, and when that ‘shape’ is your plan, and your hope and your dream…..even better!
Looking forward to seeing it as it happens
Love, Anne (in Scotland) x
I don’t envy you this “construction” phase but I can’t wait to see the finished product!
As far as pantries, I’ve never had a really nice one, BUT have you seen this amazing, bulge my eyes out pantry at Sugar Pie Farmhouse? My goodness, I have some pantry envy here!
It looks like furniture BUT it is a pantry!
