In my life this week…

May 27, 2011 Lana

Yellow Lab

  • We had our dog spayed.
She is now a little calmer.  Before her surgery, she was actually sitting and laying on command (as long as she is listening.)  Just like some kids, I know.
  • We had finally agreed on final remodel plans for our play-room.  (I know that this is subject to change, knowing my hubby’s and mine personality.)Are you ready for this?
We are putting in a small library between the office and playroom.  Yeah!
  • I now am trying to eat breakfast.  I’ve never liked cereal.  It makes me feel like I have morning sickness.  But, I’m striving to lose a few baby pounds (or really it’s the self-induced chocolate disease that I have) so I’m forcing myself to eat it every morning.I guess I could make myself eggs.  But, I can’t stand the smell of them unless my Mom makes them.  My hubby can make them now – thanks to my Mom teaching him.  She has yet to teach me her secret.
  • Our friends, that I asked for prayer for – got a super good report this week!  We are so thankful for God’s tender mercies!
  • I’ve been searching like crazy for cucumber recipes even using Twitter and Facebook.  (Are you following me on there?)  This next week, I’m planning on making pickles, cucumber sandwiches, and yes, cucumber dip!
  • My hubby found my super-duper OLD recipe binder.  I’m now the happiest wife ever!  I now feel a tad bit more organized!  And I’m cooking awesome dishes again.  Next week,  I’ll share a super easy bread recipe and an awesome homemade Cajun Gumbo recipe!

That is all folks!  (Well, for now!)
Blessings to you!  You are loved!
