For the past few weeks, I have been on Creation Conversations talking about Travel.
It is called #TravelTuesdays (Use this hashtag if you are on Twitter.)

Today, Travel Tuesday: Christmas Around the World Edition.
Last year for our homeschool co-op Christmas project – we did Christmas around the world.
Our family helped with Czech Republic.
Some things we learned about the Czech’s Christmas Traditions:
- They keep a carp in their bathtub. It is their Christmas meal. (We gave away a gold fish to signify this.)
- They open presents on Christmas Eve.
- Baby Jesus brings the gifts not Santa Claus. (This one was hard for me to grasp but I guess so is a big fat old man coming down a chimney. Plus, what if you don’t have a chimney? We live in Texas – most Christmases it is still warm weather.)
Some people would ask “Why should we learn about other traditions?”
I think it gives more understanding to other cultures and their beliefs. It is a gift to be able to understand a neighbor’s way of doing things especially if they are different from my own beliefs.
Plus, who knows what I could learn about my own Savior from others who also worship Him?
Please go see Travel Tuesday: Christmas Around the World Edition and list a tradition that you know about! It is free!
Blessings to you! You are loved!
