Getting Healthy and Project Cleanse

January 7, 2013 Lana

Let me introduce you to Getting Healthy and Project Cleanse!

A group of precious ladies that is blogging about “cleansing” some part of their life.  And I’m getting healthy.

Project Cleanse

I’ve been on a “cleansing” rampage.

  • Cleaning out closets.
  • Cleaning out medicine drawers.  (Can’t wait to show you my new organization skills.)
  • Cleaning up my health.

Today, I’m talking about health!

Running, eating less, drinking more water, eating healthy and taking my vitamins.

What vitamins you ask?

My Favorite Vitamins:

  • Super B-Complex made by Nature Made.
When I take this vitamin my energy soars.  I don’t really need coffee.  My hubby takes it as well.  This is my fave vitamin -ever!
  • Ultra Omega-3 Mini Fish Oil 500 mg – 360 mg Omega-3 by Nature Made
This fish oil pill is burp-less.  My eye doctor actually recommended this one for my extremely dry eyes.
However, Omega-3 benefits are deep and wide!
  • Flaxseed Oil by Nature Made
Another one my eye doctor recommended.  But, it also has tons of benefits.

Those are my regulars thus far.  I might be adding more later on.  Even though I’m eating healthier, I feel that I’m still missing essential nutrients from my diet.

I found this awesome PDF file from Dr. Oz that he recommends for each age group.

I called my doctor and asked her some questions specifically about my health.  (Which I would recommend, any Doctor worth his salt, really should want his/her patients to be healthy.)  Mine came to the conclusion, I had or have Exercise Induced Asthma symptoms – not the same as asthma by the way.  Whenever, I run my airways tighten up.  Just taking a puff of air before my run – makes a huge difference.  I can now run without feeling like I’m going to pass out.

Here is a post about my favorite Fitness Apps for running and staying healthy.

I’m super excited about this new series.

Feel free to visit all the other blogs in Project Cleanse.  Some will be cleaning spiritually, cleaning up their homes, cleaning up their lives and even cleaning up their time.  Who doesn’t need some of that?!

Blessings to you!  You are loved!
