I am thankful Day 1 and 2

November 2, 2015 Lana

Today is November 2, 2015.

Today I am Thankful Series

I woke up with stress.

We have had  “things” come up in our lives that mean we have to cut back in some other areas of our life.  I don’t like cutting back.  Who does?

It has been raining cats and dogs.  Now we are all fish.

Other than the new “things” that have popped up, some old “things” have reared their ugly head.

Like a leaking window.  Above a computer. Above the bill corner.  Does anyone else see the humor of the bills getting flooded?  It just seems like poetic justice.

I refuse to let this get me down.

Refusing – Mama – right here!

In my Facebook feed this morning, I have noticed a trend…Politics, Gratefulness, and Ooh I love November memes.

I will skip right over those politics.  And YES, I do love November – skipping that too.

But, I do need a grateful heart – so that is where I will stay.

So without further ado…

Today I have a couple of things to be thankful for…

Day 1:

I found a $50 gift card for my kids yesterday in a Christmas Card that had been stashed away.  Seriously, $50.  This had me smile big time.  For one, hardly anyone ever buys my kids gifts.  I am not complaining.  Buying 5 kids something can be expensive.  So when someone blesses our family – it just made me want to cry with joy.  AND I can’t believe we never saw this card.  It looked like it had been lost in the mail.

Day 2:

Today.  I woke up stressed.  Like a heavy heart kind of stress.

I walked in the kitchen and my hubby told us our car insurance had risen over 100% because we added a healthy 16 year old boy driver to our policy.  OUCH!

Then I told him 2 of the kids now need braces.  And 2 have appointments to have their wisdom teeth out.  And 2 more still need dentist appointments.  I know I only have 5 kids…so some are overlapping in there.

Plus, I am on bed rest for broken ligaments in my foot.

I go back to bed and open my computer.  I start finding my emails.

I found an Amazon gift card for $25 from last year to me.  No joke.  #HappyDance

Then my hubby comes in and says he has been promoted to Supervisor for the next few weeks.  #HappierDance

He leaves for work.  Then he comes back.

He has realized if he didn’t turn in some paperwork for a speeding ticket that they would issue a warrant for his arrest.  WHAT?!

For a man, who doesn’t speed normally – it is just so comical.

He has to find his certificate for the safety course he finished so his ticket will disappear.  So we are on the hunt.  Remember the rain?  The bill corner that got wet?  Yep, that area.

Finally – I found it!

It was like EUREKA! Just a little damp – not even wet.

He leaves.

Then I get a twitter message saying I won a Gift Package from a Twitter Party I attended last week with Teach Them Diligently.

Seriously, it was like a cherry on top of a hot fudge sundae.

Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!

Blessings to you!  You are loved!
