This makes me glad…

June 5, 2009 Lana

…Years ago, we lived in a rent house and the owner had planted these flowers. I fell in love. When we bought our home here, I planted about 50 bulbs. None of them came up. I was so sad. Last year, one came up in October. I couldn’t believe it. This year 10 came up. Aren’t they beautiful? They are called Gladiolas and they make me glad! That is what I’m hooked on this Friday. Blessings to you! You are loved! ©www.ilovemy5kids.blogspot.com…

A little party, going on…

…k as well. Not bad for FREE! When we started clearing the brush around our home, guess what we found? This is probably my fave find – I look at it everyday as I wash dishes. FREE! That bird is a kiskadee – those are one of my fave birds! I purchased this at a local consignment shop. At the time, it went perfect with my colors but now not so much. So, it might be going back to the consignment shop. FREE because I had credit for selling other stuff…

…“baby” is still telling everyone about the fire, that happened behind our home almost 2 months ago. Let’s face it, fire trucks are exciting for little guys. All the lights, the sounds, the fact that these are HUGE compared to what they usually ride in, all of it is totally exciting!!! On a recent trip to visit my family, we were able to visit with my Dad. It is not always easy to catch him due to his work schedule. Being that my parents are divor…

…t has been living in my neighbor’s tree. [wpsr_pinterest] We found a sweet home for it. It didn’t really stink but I used my zoom on my camera and stayed as far away as possible. Lately our family seems to be a magnet for strays. I went to a park the other day and a skunk was laying in the bushes. I never saw it, and I am only partial to floral fragrances so I quickly scattered. Did I ever tell you about seeing the rat at the grocery store? I’m wa…

Can you say “Husband of the Year”?

May 5, 2009 Lana

…y is a lot of things around here! He is my sweet thang, the one who brings home the bacon, the cleaner-upper of messes, diaper changer without complaining, window washer, handy man, duster, Mr. Romantic, grocery shopper (with all 5 kids), and is willing to give his life for his wife (he told me he would when we were on our honeymoon and I think he still would). I truly adore this guy! Lately, he has been the best at buying and giving gifts to me….
