I live in a house with practical jokers. Somehow, my entire family has caught on to the idea of playing a harmless joke on one another. This brings much laughter to our home.
Somehow, we are owners of fake bugs. (Real ones are NOT an option.) The object of the practical joke is to try to “spook” another person with the bug, by hiding it in a inconspicuous place.
I didn’t even realize we were all involved until the other day. I found a bug on my keyboard, I’m not sure which kid did this. Well, the first thing I did was think, where can I put this? Next to my chair, were my hubby’s shoes. (note to self, he never puts his shoes where they go) so guess where the bug went? I call it sweet vengeance. The following Monday, he put his shoes on and the first thing in his mind was not “what in the world?” but “where can I put this?”
He threw it at me the next night while I was going to sleep. I didn’t even flinch. HA!
My 4 year old princess, even put the bug under my pillow. They have been placed in the silverware drawer, cereal box, the toothbrush drawer, and even the fridge. (We are having so much fun!)
So, if you come over to visit, please be advised, we do have fake bugs on the premises. Again, real ones are banned!

We have fake bugs at our house too and fake fishing lures (sp?). I’m not fond of the fake spiders though. I hope you like the shrimp boil. It’s easy but so much fun. We spread ours on newspapers on the table and enjoy. It is always a hit around my table. Blessings to you!
