I love Chile con Queso. I dip chips in it and absolutely go crazy! I make mine with velveeta. Add a can of rotel (diced tomatoes with chilies) and cream of mushroom soup, heat and your good to go!
With all that said, I really do like velveeta. But, maybe I’ve been over thinking of what I heard a friend say the other day.
“Do you realize velveeta stays the same, it never spoils?”
It is called cheese “product”, not a cheese “food” as per their advertising.
Does this mean it never changes in our body?
Like I said, probably over thinking. Hmm….I do believe my taste buds are changing, though.
From now on, I will probably pass on velveeta recipes if there are other choices. Like to a seven-layer dip with real Cheddar cheese.
I made one of these last Friday and couldn’t believe how easy it was.
I got my recipe from here.
I did leave out the olives and did not use the recommended amount of onions.
It really did turn out pretty.
Sorry, if you were eating velveeta at the moment. Please don’t tell me, what else I might be eating that is not “food”; my heart can’t take another food loss, especially with the holidays approaching.

Lana,
I too have made this dip but add broccoli (frozen baby spears), 1/2 lb of prime Fajitas and an avocado.

Thanks for the deer recipe! I am up for trying anything to get rid of the gamey taste. I’m so sorry that you have been sick. I’m praying that you feel much better today. Blessings to you and your family!

Sometimes there are things in life that we would really rather not know. . . just follow your heart and don’t give up the Velveeta! By the way, I like the cheese you squeeze out of the can as well. It works well in certain situations, like the car!
