Germ Fighting using colors.

January 20, 2010 Lana

In our family, if one gets ill with a virus, well – we have to do everything we can to fight it, before the virus spreads.

One way to combat it, was each kid has a certain color cup.  Now that they are getting older, it is getting a little harder but I still try to buy each kid their own color.  Adults, of course, get to use real glasses.  (Wally world is great during this time of year, all their Spring stuff is coming out and with that is pretty color cups.)

My pediatrician, even said for everyone to have their own toothpaste tube along with their own toothbrush.  The tube has just as many germs as the toothbrush.
A friend of mine, even has a different color towel for each of her children.  Thus, she knows who uses their towel the most and who has taken a shower.
This works for me!

I never thought of the toothpaste thing! My husband and I share one, but my daughter doesn’t like mint and has her own tube.

We do the same thing with towels, sheets, cups, brushes! It’s exhausting!!!

The dentist suggested that each person has their own “place” for their toothbrush (a holder ect. of their own). He said viruses LOVE the family toothbrush cup or drawer.

    Love,

That is a wonderful idea. Both my older boys have their own shower gels and stuff but not the little guy.. he loves feeling special so may have to invest in some special stuff just for him

May the LORD bless you and keep you; May the LORD make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; May He turn His face toward you and give you peace. Feel free to leave a comment - we LOVE to hear your thoughts! ~Blessings to you!~ ~You are so loved!~ ~Lana (Like Banana)~
