Renovation Reality: Bye Bye Stove with a Remodel Tip – Part 6

June 3, 2010 Lana

Dear My 24” Maytag Stove,
You’ve been so good to me.stove
We’ve cooked together.  We’ve baked together.  We’ve ruined many meals together.
Now you are leaving…
IMG_3752 I’m going to always have a special place for you in my heart…IMG_3762 It seems like last week, we had Lasagna together.
Oh, the memories and the yummiest banana bread ever!IMG_3763
Goodbye…24” Maytag!
IMG_3778 I hope you go to someone who will use you with love until you bake no more!

With gratitude to your service,
Lana (the new owner of a double-convection ovens)
Just a tip:  When shopping for a new oven…double measure your space before you go shopping.  I had no idea mine was just 24 inches whereas my new ones measure 27 inches.  We are building a new space…so no big deal.
I also learned about convection ovens.  Convections have a fan in the back so it regulates the air flow.  Those with older style kitchens might not be aware of the new features…I certainly was not.  The convection ovens cut baking time by 1/3rd.  I can’t wait to see if this proves to be true.
Will be posting more of the Big Home Renovation Madness and other Remodel Tips soon!

Blessings to you!  You are loved!

Hey there. Did you get the new oven at the Sears Outlet too? I desperately want a double oven for all my baking.
Got my Rachel Ray pieces-so perfect for single serve dinners for my hubby and I. I am going to try to make individual berry cobblers in them soon.

May the LORD bless you and keep you; May the LORD make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; May He turn His face toward you and give you peace. Feel free to leave a comment - we LOVE to hear your thoughts! ~Blessings to you!~ ~You are so loved!~ ~Lana (Like Banana)~
